STIA AAN Yogyakarta Students Conduct a Field Study at the West Java Provincial Civil Service Agency and the Bandung City Health Department

Bandung – Students from STIA AAN Yogyakarta conducted a field study from July 15–18, 2026, as part of the learning process aimed at enhancing their understanding of administrative practices in government agencies. During this activity, the students visited two agencies: the West Java Provincial Civil Service Agency (BKD) and the Bandung City Health Department.

This field study serves as an opportunity for students to connect the theories they have learned in class with the practical aspects of administrative operations in the field. Through these visits, students gain firsthand insight into the administrative systems, governance, and service mechanisms implemented at each agency.

At the West Java Provincial Civil Service Agency, the students received a presentation on civil service administration, covering topics ranging from administrative processes for civil servants (ASN) and personnel data management to the use of information technology to support effective and efficient civil service management.

Meanwhile, during a visit to the Bandung City Health Department, the students learned about the administrative processes that support the delivery of health services. The material covered included office administration, interdepartmental coordination, document management, and administrative systems that support public services in the health sector.

In addition to receiving information from speakers at both agencies, the students also participated in interactive discussion and Q&A sessions. They used this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges, innovations, and implementation of public administration within the government.

Through this field study, STIA AAN Yogyakarta hopes that students will be able to broaden their horizons, enhance their competencies, and gain a practical understanding of how administrative principles are applied in the workplace. The hands-on learning experience at government agencies is expected to serve as valuable preparation for students as they develop into professional human resources ready to contribute to the delivery of public services.
